Studio HnH is a group of friends who happen to be artists, largely from the Prince George's Community College Anime club, the Starlight Anime Soceity. HnH is short for "Hikari No Houshi" which very vaguely translated means, "Light of the Star" or "Star Light". It was shortened to HnH for simplicity and so that members can work together on projects under one banner but still be able to retain their own "studio" names.

Originally, HnH was supposed to be a subdivision of the Anime Society where members with different areas of artistic expertise (i.e. inking, penciling, writing, etc) could work together in order to create a comic book. Although, the subdivision was in planning stages for two years, it never took off due to subject matter conflicts with other student organizations and was never allowed to form.
